Update

Thursday 9/9: We have arrived in France, obviously. We spent the first night in Paris after being caught in the rain. We saw the Bastille and the Seine and spent some time in outdo cafes.

Friday 9/10: We traveled by train from Paris to Aix-en-Provence. We shopped, mostly for tablecloths,etc., and did more eating. We had monkfish livers,and other interesting dishes for dinner.

Saturday 9/11: We shopped at the renowned farmers' market in Aix. Beautiful produce and flowers! At 2, our hosts from the B & B picked us up in Aix and brought us to the B & B and then on to Les Baux. It's a medieval chateau on a high, rocky cliff. See pictures. We had dinner there, and saw the sunset over the mountains.

Sunday 9/12: We had breakfast in the garden and are heading for the coast.
